Protected Membrane Roof Assembly (PMRA)

Built for longevity, the PMRA positions insulation above the waterproof membrane, protecting it from UV exposure, weathering, and physical damage. This inverted design virtually eliminates common sources of wear and tear, significantly extending the membrane’s lifespan. PMRA supports a range of topping materials, such as pavers, wood tile, and even vegetation, providing options for functional, aesthetically pleasing roof spaces. With the insulation and other materials laid loose above the membrane, these assemblies are also flexible, allowing for easy adjustments.

Versatile Assembly Options

Hydrotech also offers the Ultimate Assembly, a sophisticated open-joint paver system. This setup integrates MM6125® with open joint architectural pavers, making it ideal for terraces, vegetated roofs, and plaza spaces. Hydrotech pavers are engineered for high compressive strength and low moisture absorption, and they come in a variety of colors and textures, allowing for customized roof aesthetics. Pavers are placed on spacer tabs or pedestals, allowing water to flow underneath and preventing ponding or trapped moisture. This system ensures that drains and components are accessible, and pavers can be easily lifted and replaced as needed.
